BluSeed Studios announces the lineup for the Live at BluStage concert series taking place in the remainder of 2017. All events are happening at BluSeed Studios, 24 Cedar St. in Saranac Lake, with doors opening each night at 7 p.m., with 7:30 p.m. concert start time. With a career spanning 27 years, nine albums and the winner of the Maple Blues Award for Female Vocalist in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, Quebec blues belter Angel Forrest has been compared to Janis Joplin.
- Laura Cortese and the Dance Cards, Wednesday, Nov. 8, $18/$15 for BluMembers
Cutting her teeth in Boston’s roots music scene, Laura Cortese and her Dance Cards — cellist Valerie Thompson, fiddler Jenna Moynihan, and bassist Natalie Bohrn — break new ground in the lyrical rituals of folk music.
