BluSeed Studios is pleased to present, “Sea to Seed,” part of a collaborative exchange with the MPC Printmakers, a group of artists, led by Robynn Smith, from Monterey California. The public is invited to join us at a special meet the artists cocktail reception on Friday, July 25th, 5pm – 7pm at BluSeed Studios in Saranac Lake. BluSeed is proud to be part of another national exchange which supports it’s mission to bring diversity of aesthetic to the community!
Consisting of both emerging and established artists, the MPC Printmakers is a well-respected association of printmakers in Northern California’s Monterey Bay area, established at Monterey Peninsula College in 2007. This exhibit features a variety of prints by Monterrey artists Eva Bernstein, Evelyn Klein, Janis O’Driscoll, Kathy Greenwald, Robynn Smith, Pamela Takigawa, Nora Partido, and Katherine Levin-Lau. While visiting Saranac Lake, the artist will be meeting and visiting local artists, their studios, galleries and local shopping. They will also be at the Wild Center working on unique prints in a specially designed workshop titled “Plein Air Printmaking”.
The reciprocal exhibition, featuring prints as well as works on paper by North Country area artists, Nancy Brossard, Karen Davidson, Jen Kretser, Larry Poole, Peter Seward, Cris Winter and Carol Marie Vossler will be at the MPC (Monterrey Peninsula College) Art Gallery May 5th – June 3rd, 2015.
“Seed to Sea” at BluSeed Studios runs July 17th through September 7 th. Gallery hours are Monday – Saturday 1pm – 5pm, or by appointment. For more information about the MPC Printmakers, please visit www.mpcprintmakers.org
