Join us in the beautiful Adirondacks for an exploration into the natural world using the environment to reveal and renew yourself your passion for teaching. Visual Thinking (the art of looking deeply and learning to ask questions of what is around you), curriculum mapping and 21st century skills will be discussed to round out this Art Integration experience.
Jenn and Kerri will take you on short hikes to beautiful lakes, canoeing, and demonstrate how to spend your time outside to observe, listen and then record in a journal and later use your notes to make impressions on paper.
Carol explains how to take your notions and experiment using mix watercolor, collage and mixed media. She will also lead group discussions on how to begin art integration in your classroom and with other teachers.
