SPRING BREAK ART CLASSES ONLINE
For the past two years BluSeed Studios has provided free spring break art classes for all area students. Due to recent restrictions, BluSeed Studios wanted to find ways to still offer free art classes to students while adhering to New York State mandates
Due to the change by the State to cancel “Spring Break”, all the videos will be uploaded by Monday April 6th rather than daily releases as first stated. Anyone can watch the videos by subscribing to BluSeed Studio’s YouTube channel. Subscribe Here.
Sponsored by The Adirondack Foundation & The Saranac Lake Teachers Association, BluSeed will be offering 10 free video art projects geared toward elementary age students and four free video art classes geared toward middle/high school students. Elementary age students will be introduced to cultural facts from countries that include Africa, India, Mexico, Australia, and China. These projects include literacy activities such as artist reflections, fact sheets, and other ways to express their creativity. The middle/high school projects are more advanced and will require specialized materials that BluSeed will also provide in the kits
There will have 50 free art kits/project or 700 in total! Each of the elementary-age projects are designed to use regular art items that can be easily accessible to everyone. Kits are limited to two/family.
Volunteers put together the craft kits using masks & gloves and kept a safe distance away from each other. The kits will be available each day from 10 am – noon Mon- Friday from April 6 – 17 . You will receive an email with a scheduled pick-up time. We do understand that not everyone will be able to stop by BluSeed to pick up the free art kits. We have a small group of volunteers willing to deliver kits to students within a reasonable distance.”
BluSeed Studios wishes to thank The Adirondack Foundation, and the Saranac Lake Teachers Association for the ability to provide these free classes to students as well as to Sawyer Chase for filming/editing each lesson and to Jessica Locke for providing instructions.
