Summer Breeze Bento Bag Benefit
August 8 @ 8:00 am - August 31 @ 5:00 pm
This year BluSeed is hosting an alternative summer fundraiser, we named BluSeed’s, “Summer Breeze- Bento Bag Benefit”!
What is a “Bento” bag? These specially designed bags are created by sewing two triangles together resulting in an Asian “origami” style. In Japanese culture a Bento box is a compartmentalized meal that Japanese women take special pride in preparing. They are filled with delightful delectable mouthfuls and visually stunning creations.
The “Bento” bags that we have created are not filled with food. Instead they are filled with an eclectic collection of real art. Stunning small treasures to surprise and delight you. Featuring the work of local and international artists, these bags are all hand sewn by artist Katherine Levin-Lau and are both beautiful and practical for many uses. Contributing artists are: Katherine Levin-Lau, Sandra Hildreth, Mark Kurtz, Gail Brill, Carol Vossler, Peter Shrope, Marylou Reid & Joanna Merry.
The bags come in the following sizes & prices: Large: 100.00 (207.00 value), Medium: $75.00 ($140.00 value) & Small: $40.00 (75.00).
There are only 70 bags total and are selling fast, so hurry and purchase your very own BluSeed Summer Breeze “Bento Bag”
