An event every week that begins at 3:30pm on Tuesday, repeating until May 29, 2018
BluSeed Studios announces a new series of creative after-school classes for kids from grades K through 9.
The new series of classes is called “Adventures in Clay” and the classes are part of the BluSeedlings program which works to develop and strengthen creative skills in youth; as well as build self-esteem, advance a sense of individuality, and encourage self-expression while stimulating a child’s imagination.
Angela Trumbower and BluSeed founder Carol Vossler will be teaching the series on Tuesdays beginning April 24.
Tuesday sessions will be for Shoots (Grades 3 through 5) and Sprouts (Grades 6 through 9) led by Trumbower and sessions for the Seeds (Grades K through 2) will be headed up by Vossler.
Each session is for six classes that run from 3:30 pm -4:45pm. The cost of each session is $100 which includes all materials and a snack. There is a limit of 12 students per session.
“Sprouts” teacher Angela has been immersed in art and her passion in this field is contagious. She taught art in Massachusetts for six years before moving to Saranac Lake and she has been heard to exclaim “I love teaching art!… I love to use a variety of different materials with my students so they can see that art comes in many forms and allows everyone to be successful.” Angela studied at Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, in Boston.
Art instructor Carol Marie Vossler has a varied experience in the field which includes art integration certification and teaching studio arts for twenty years. She earned degrees in Forestry from Paul Smiths College, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Plattsburgh State University and a Master of Fine Arts from Syracuse University.
