Bluseed Studios introduces people to the arts by teaching basic skills in ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, photography and framing via workshops and classes. We also provide professional studio space for artists seeking creative growth or those who would like to experiment with different mediums.
Access to the art studios can be attained through: Bluseed membership, weekly, quarterly or bi-annual studio fees, internships and residencies, or attending a class or a workshop. For prices and/or fees, follow the links below.
Pottery | Ceramics
Bluseed Studios offers a 1000-sq.-ft. fully equipped ceramics studio. The space includes seven electric wheels and one kick wheel, a slab roller for hand building/sculpture, glazing slip cast areas, two electric kilns, an outdoor gas kiln and an outdoor raku kiln.
Classes are offered in the fall and winter for both beginner and advanced levels. There are also a variety of workshops offered throughout the summer, including workshops for children through our Bluseedlings program.

Sculpture
Intended for the experienced sculptor, Bluseed Studios offers a 700-sq.-ft. seasonal (early May-Oct.) sculpture studio that is perfect for mixed media assemblage, carving, mold making or outdoor welding. Artists are expected to provide their own material and tools. Summer workshops in basic welding, carving and mold making are available for those with no prior three-dimensional experience.
Printmaking and Book Arts
There are three separate studios for nontoxic printing (intaglio, monotype relief), silkscreen printing, letterpress and a clean space for bookbinding. Each space is designed with the professional artist in mind. Workshops are available for the beginner, and studio access is available for those who have taken a class or who have experience working in this medium. Artists must provide own inks, and paper.

Framing Studio
The framing studio allows the artist to mat and frame his or her own work professionally and affordably with the Logan 650 mat cutter, miter saw (for wooden frames) and professional joiner for frame assemblage. It is also available to those who would like to learn how to mat and frame their purchased artwork. Must provide own mats and foam core. Limited frame stock will be available. Must reserve room prior to use and first-time users must take a 60-min. introductory class on how to use the studio equipment.
