About the event

What's a Bee Cup?

Bee cups are tiny porcelain watering stations for pollinators. They help bees and butterflies without breeding mosquitoes.

Shannon Rock Bio

I grew up in Peru, NY and call the Adirondack Park my home.  I find the local area beautiful with many unseen places.  Thought out the year I hike to different areas in the Adirondack Park and capture images of things I see in nature.  I use these images and memories to help create pottery that reflects the places I’ve been and things I have seen.  This may include using actual images, shapes, or color schemes I have observed to guide the direction of any given piece.   My intention with my work is to be able to share the beauty of the area and spark people’s interest in connecting with nature.  The ability to make pottery helps ground me to the area, to nature, and the present moment.
